Customers already embracing Microsoft’s Cloud platform need to be aware of a range of modifications that the company is planning to introduce with the evolution of Windows Azure platform AppFabric. The software giant underlines that the latest Community Technology Preview of Windows Azure platform AppFabric will bring to the table a variety of breaking changes. This means that early adopters already developing for Windows Azure will need to modify their projects in accordance with the new CTP of Windows Azure platform AppFabric in order to make sure that their Cloud apps and services continue to function within normal parameters. “In this Windows Azure platform AppFabric release, there are improvements in stability, scale and performance over the previous CTP. Some of these improvements might require user code modification. Applications built on or that communicate with AppFabric Service Bus and AppFabric Access Control might be affected and need to change accordingly,” revealed a member of the Windows Azure platform AppFabric Team.
Specifically, changes will impact Service Bus, namely buffer management, including PeekLock expiration, URI in Atom feed, Allowing “/” in Delete requests, Creation Errors returned, and Status code change. Relay Bindings will also be affected, wi... (read more)
